Thriller entre à la Library of Congress

News:
L'album "Thriller" vient d'être déposé au National Recording Registry, une division du Library of Congress (bibliothèque nationale américaine) visant à préserver des documents audio "à valeur culturelle, historique et esthétique". Chaque année depuis sa création en 2000, seuls 25 à 50 enregistrements sonores ont le privilège d'être sélectionnés; elle en réunit aujourd'hui 250.

Cette entrée au registre est la première pour Michael Jackson, et achève de faire de "Thriller" un "trésor culturel national", au même titre que des enregistrements de Thomas Edison, Roosevelt ou Martin Luther King. Mais côté musique contemporaine, "Thriller" vient rejoindre d'autres albums mythiques tels que "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" des Beatles, "What's Going On" de Marvin Gaye, "Songs In The Key Of Life" de Stevie Wonder ou encore "Nevermind" de Nirvana.
